Programs
The philosophy of Community Youth Athletic Center Diversion Programs are to give at-risk youth ages 9-17 what they seek through street gang membership in an alternative, empowering, socially positive and family format. Community Youth Athletic Center Diversion Programs are built on five components: (1) Youth Health, Wellness and Physical Fitness, (2) Alternative Education Services, (3) Youth Development Support, (4) Work Readiness/ Employment-based Learning Opportunities, (5) Neighborhood Beautification. The CYAC Diversion Programs are offered at no cost to youth and includes law enforcement officers serving as positive role models. The strength and popularity of CYAC youth programs is it’s ability to provide youth with opportunities not otherwise afforded to them.
